Roots of empathy

Currently, I'm off on mat leave. I just had my second son in June. We were very fortunate to be asked to be a Roots of Empathy family. Basically, you go in and discuss things about your baby to a class and they track their growth and development over the course of the year. I've always heard of this program, but never had it in my class. I would definitely love to have it in my program!

Yesterday was our first session. The roots instructor was in the class for a few previous sessions to discuss about the program and tell them about my baby. I'm in a grade 8 class, but it is meant for k to 8. The kids were so excited. They sang to Logan, track his weight and height, asked questions about his development and observed him playing with toys.

It is a wonderful program. To find out more visit http://www.rootsofempathy.org I will keep you posted about my experience as the year goes on :)
