Pinterest organization!

It has been a week since I've posted. Things have been crazy... Life has gotten very busy and I haven't had time to post! But now that I have a moment to myself, I thought that I would sit down and blog about what has been going on.

As I said, I've been super busy with the holiday weekend, my hubby's birthday, my sons birthday and all that other life stuff that happens! So, although I do have plans and have started a few new tpt items, it will be a little bit before anything is posted. But please keep checking back!

One project I have made time for during my sons little afternoon naps is a Pinterest cleanup! Just like the junk I have hanging around in my house that I need to clean up and organize, Pinterest gets a little messy! So I'm doing a bit of fall clean up of my Pinterest page and boards. There are so many wonderful ideas that I have pinned from other teachers, but since I'm addicted and pin so often, I tend to forget about them and just pin more stuff. So, I started off with my number sense board today. I broke it up into the 5 number sense units that I teach: quantity, counting, addition and subtraction, representations (fractions and decimals) and multiplication and division. My goal now is to write the learning goals that I have for each unit under the title of the board and corresponding grade 3 or 4 math expectation. In each individual pin, I hope to write whether it is a getting started activity, working on it, or if it could help with reflect and connect. I also plan on writing what expectation it would help me teach. I plant then to change my other math boards to follow this organization.

What are your thoughts? How do you organize your Pinterest? Please don't forget to click the link on the top of the blog so that you can see my Pinterest work in progress and follow me!

  1. Good for you! I was just reading last night that it's good to narrow your board topics. Apparently pinterest followers prefer that :) I need to organize, too!
